Giant Christmas Gift, with interior access
We were commissioned by our local shopping centre to create a giant Christmas present, complete with a large reversible name tag, LED lights, baubles, ribbons & other themed decoration.
The tricky bit was adding two large concealed doors to allow access to the box interior.
I used 25mm foam boards and a light weight wooden frame for the main structure, wrapped in shiny gold vinyl.
The decorative LED lights were battery powered.
This display formed part of Tauranga Crossing’s in-store lucky draw, which we filmed:
After the main event, we cut a "tunnel" out of it to allow walking through, and an additional photo opportunity spot for shoppers.
NICE & NAUGHTY Illuminated Display, with randomised controller
This project comprised individually illuminated LED lights, on NICE & NAUGHTY text respectively. We settled on a manual switch option, instead of an electronic circuit, due to short deadline. I used a 12 position rotary dial switch, with random assignment providing an unpredictable outcome.
